Assistant Project Scientist
About
Dr. Aparamita Pandey is an Assistant Project Scientist in the Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. She earned her Ph.D. studying metabolic adaptations during pregnancy and lactation, building on earlier training in molecular biology and physiology. Her research background spans India, Germany, and the United States, with contributions to cancer biology, metabolism, and translational disease models. At UCLA, Dr. Pandey’s work focuses on developing patient-derived organoid (PDO) models of lung cancer to investigate tumor heterogeneity, drug resistance, and therapeutic vulnerabilities. She has been recognized with honors including the Suzanne Eaton Memorial Prize for research excellence. Dr. Pandey’s goal is to bridge fundamental discoveries with precision medicine strategies that improve early detection and treatment outcomes in cancer.
