Cansheng Zhu received his Doctor of Medicine in Neurology and a Master of Medicine in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University, China, and his Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine from Bengbu Medical College. His previous roles include conducting clinical trials and teaching at Sun Yat-sen University’s Third Affiliated Hospital, where he worked extensively on neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, and Alzheimer’s disease. His research has explored the mechanisms underlying neurological disorders, particularly Alzheimer's disease. He has also conducted significant research on Alzheimer’s disease, cognitive impairment, and neuroprotection, with a particular interest in the interplay between hypertension and Alzheimer’s disease. Currently, his research is focused on brain energy metabolism and the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease.
