Dr. Chiranjit Dutta received his PhD in Chemical Sciences from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Kolkata, India, specializing in peptide design and synthesis. Afterward, he conducted his first post-doctoral research at the National University of Singapore (NUS), focusing on developing synthetic channels for water treatment. He pursued a second postdoc on peptide-based oxygen carriers at George Mason University in Virginia. In February 2024, he joined Dr. Ikotun's group as an assistant project scientist, focusing on developing radiopharmaceuticals targeting integrins for cancer therapy. In addition to his work in the laboratory, Dr. Dutta enjoys hiking, exploring new places, and experimenting with new recipes.
