About
Conor Buckley, MD, MS is a fellow in Hematology-Oncology at UCLA and a member of the STAR physician-scientist training program. He completed internal medicine training in Ireland and at Mount Sinai in New York, followed by a chief residency and a fellowship in Palliative Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
His research interests are in early-phase therapeutic drug development, with a particular focus on antibody-drug conjugates. He will carry out his thesis work in the Translational Oncology Research Laboratories, directed by Dr. Dennis Slamon. His long-term goal is a career as a translational physician-scientist bridging laboratory-based target discovery and early-phase clinical trials.
