About
Dr. Iveta Fajnorova is a passionate researcher, with a strong focus on cancer immunology, tumor metabolism, and advanced molecular imaging. She holds a PharmD in R&D from the University of Bordeaux and obtained her PhD in Oncology from Claude Bernard University Lyon, where she committed to develop in vivo models to better understand immune responses and tumor progression in pediatric osteosarcoma.
During her PhD, she collaborated on projects testing TLR4 agonist and AURKB antagonist. She contributed to studies assessing chemotherapy efficacy using ultrasound, gaining invaluable experience in cancer diagnostics and treatment evaluation. Her expertise includes flow cytometry, histological methods, and RNA sequencing analysis, which she uses to explore complex cancer systems.
Now at UCLA Health, Iveta is focused on combining targeted radionuclide therapy with immunotherapies for metastatic prostate cancer. She uses advanced imaging techniques like PET/CT and PET/MRI to uncover new insights into tumor metabolism and immune regulation, with the goal of improving patient outcomes.
What drives Dr. Fajnorova is not just a love for science, but a deep desire to see her research make a real-world impact. She is devoted to translating her work into clinical applications, advancing precision oncology by integrating molecular imaging with innovative therapeutic strategies. Her goal is to contribute to the development of theranostic solutions that can revolutionize cancer diagnostics and treatment, offering patients better, more personalized care.
