My name is Peter Challita, and I graduated from UC San Diego with a B.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology. During my time as an undergraduate, I worked at a biotechnology startup to develop and validate a novel antibody drug conjugate therapy from de novo discovery through manufacturing into filing the Investigational New Drug application for a phase 1 a/b clinical trial. Also, I worked in Dr. Ananda Goldrath’s lab studying how T cell memory is generated and maintained through transcription factors and cell signaling pathways. I have become very passionate about immunology and oncology but more broadly how the molecular basis of human diseases can be used to improve patient outcomes, and I am excited to join the MMP program as a graduate student to continue to grow as a scientist. Outside of the lab, I enjoy listening to music, woodworking, and rock climbing
