My name is Sahar Nasr, and I am an incoming PhD student in the Molecular and Medical Pharmacology program at UCLA. I earned my MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a specialization in Bioinformatics from the University of Calgary. Prior to joining UCLA, I worked as a Research Associate in the Department of Pathology at Stanford University, where I applied spatial transcriptomics, single-cell genomics, and computational biology approaches to study the early development of high-grade serous ovarian cancer and its tumor microenvironment.

My research interests lie at the intersection of pharmacology, cancer biology, and genomics. I am particularly interested in understanding disease mechanisms and leveraging multi-omics technologies to identify novel therapeutic targets and improve treatment strategies. I am excited to pursue research that bridges fundamental biology and translational medicine.

Outside of research, I enjoy running, hiking, exploring new coffee shops, and spending time with family and friends.
