My name is Shou-Hou Liu, but you can just call me Chuck. I earned my Master’s degree in Immunology from National Taiwan University, where I investigated how immune cells and cytokines drive the progression of cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory diseases. Following graduation, I joined  Academia Sinica with specific research focus on advanced therapeutics including engineered immune cell therapies (CAR-T and CAR-macrophage) and nanomedicine (lipid nanoparticles). By joining the UCLA Molecular and Medical Pharmacology program, I aim to leverage chemical and genetic materials to engineer immune cells, ultimately developing novel therapeutics for tumors, viral infections, and autoimmune diseases. Outside of research and academia, I enjoy playing the guitar and piano, as well as watching basketball and baseball.
