Shruti received her B.S. in Bioengineering from UCLA, where she worked in Professor Amy Rowat’s laboratory on exploring the effects of soluble stress hormones on cancer metastasis. After graduation, she worked as a Research Associate at A2 Biotherapeutics, a cancer immunotherapy company. There, she was part of a team developing logic-gated dual-receptor CAR T cell therapies that exploit loss of heterozygosity to differentiate between tumor and normal cells. As a graduate student in the Stoyanova Lab, she will be focusing on developing a novel antibody-drug conjugate for late-stage epithelial cancers.
