I graduated from Cal State San Bernardino with a bachelors in Biology. As an undergraduate, I was introduced to research in a genetics lab under Dr. Nicole Bournia-Vardiabasis . After graduation, I jumped into industry working at several pharmaceutical companies ranging in roles from microbiologist to chemist. I returned to research at UCLA in the lab of Dr. Peter M. Clark. In the Clark Lab, I was introduced to cancer and drug discovery. My project focused on the development of a novel selective metabolic inhibitor for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma. As a graduate student in the MMP program, I would like to continue exploring cancer and drug discovery. Outside of lab, my hobby is to have hobbies. Which include: painting, running, gardening and reading.
