Dr. Weiting Deng earned her Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei, China). She then received a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Medical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology (Pasadena, CA, USA), under the guidance of Prof. Julia R. Greer, focusing on micro-scale additive manufacturing for biomedical applications. Following her Ph.D., she joined the lab of Prof. R. Michael van Dam in the Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology at UCLA as a postdoctoral scholar. Dr. Deng's current research focuses on developing microdroplet radiosynthesis, high-throughput radiochemistry platforms for radiopharmaceutical applications (e.g. PET imaging tracers, theranostic agents). She is passionate about making a significant impact in medicine by advancing proof-of-concept technologies into practical, real-world applications.
