Dr. Xiaohui Zhang earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He then did his postdoctoral research in radiochemistry at the University of Pittsburgh and Washington University, St. Louis, before becoming a staff scientist at Washington University, St. Louis. He now joins Dr. Michael van Dam lab as an Assistant Project Scientist at UCLA. Dr. Zhang's research focus is on the synthesis of targeting radiotracers including small molecules, peptides, antibodies and nanoparticles by conjugating them with different imaging reagents such as chelators and dyes; peptide and antibody drug conjugates development for cancer treatment; and radiolabeling of radiotracers using various radionuclides including Ga68, Cu64, Zr89, Lu-177 and F18 etc.
