Ulmert lab leads theranostic effort targeting aggressive cancers

Associate Professor David Ulmert, M.D., Ph.D., together with UCLA and international collaborators, are developing a theranostic approach to diagnose and treat aggressive cancers such as osteosarcoma and glioblastoma. Their work, published in the journal Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy, targets the LRRC15 protein found on the surface of certain aggressive cancer cells and the supportive stroma cells surrounding them.
